+Ngondro Foundational Practices. These practices will help you prepare to meditate on the "nature of mind". Ngondro is comprised of the 4 general preliminary practices (to reflect upon the human existence).
  1. We human beings have the precious chance to work with liberating and enlightening tools for the benefit of all beings.
  2. Our current situation and all phenomena are impermanent. We understand that only the open, clear and limitless mind is permanent.
  3. We understand the relationship of cause and effect of the conditioned existence; and recognize that we create our own lives.
  4. We meditate because enlightenment is timeless joy. We cannot fully benefit others (or ourselves for that matter) as long as we are confused or disturbed.
Furthermore, there are four other distinct steps of preparation, each step leading to very specific results, they are:
  1. Link-RefProstrations,
  2. Diamond-Mind (Link-RefDorje Sempa-) Meditation,
  3. Link-RefMandala-Offerings, and
  4. Mediation on the Teacher (Link-RefGuru-Yoga).
